Hi, I’m Stephanie — the knitter, designer, and maker behind Ellikin Knits!

One of the first questions I get asked is, “Where did the name Ellikin come from?” When I started this business, I wanted a name that felt special and one-of-a-kind. I played around with different ideas until I landed on something meaningful: I combined the last few letters of my maiden name, Minielli, and my married name, Hawkins, and just like that — Ellikin was born.

Every piece you see is handmade by me in my cozy home in Central Pennsylvania. Whether it’s a beanie, cowl, or another fiber favorite, it’s crafted with intention, care, and plenty of love.

You’ll often find me knitting wherever I go — unless I’m biking or kayaking (still working on that part!). I’m always inspired by new fibers, beautiful colors, and the joy of seeing what my hands can create.

I live tucked away in the woods with my husband, our son, our two rescue cats, and our special needs rescue pup, Cooper — who has quite the personality and makes regular appearances on my socials.

When I’m not knitting at home, you can often find me set up at local markets, sharing my work in person and connecting with my amazing community.
